How to add a background to a text element

Step 1

Select a text element, then click Text Colors in the Toolbar at the top of the screen.

Step 2

In the left panel Select Background, you can then set a color using:

You can enable the cover option to color the entire textbox, rather than just the text itself.

There are additional options for padding and corner rounding.
These can be modified by using the cogs in the panel on the left.

All background options can be disabled by toggling the Background switch in the left panel.
