Takeover schedules allow you to override any existing scheduling. This may be useful for a short term promotion or special holiday that wasn't planned to run different content but you don't want to redo all of the existing schedules.

To set a Takeover schedule, create the layout, add the content you want to use, set the schedule option and then select the "Takeover" check box in corner of the schedule above the layout Playlist.

Layouts that have Takeover selected will be the only layouts to be played in line with the set schedule. If the Takeover playlist is set to "Continuous" then it will be the only content to play. If the Takeover playlist has a start and end date or time of day, no other content will play that doesn't have Takeover set in that time. Once the Takeover schedule has past, the other content will play as scheduled.
