Step 1
Make sure you are pointing the remote directly at the media player hardware box. It will not work if the remote is not pointed at the player.
Step 2
The remote comes with 2x AAA batteries, please check that these are in the remote when using it.
Step 3
Try pressing a button on the remote. The LED near the power button should light up red.
Step 4
Try pressing the @ button when the media player is playing content. If a menu doesn't pop up, then you may need a replacement remote.
Note: If you suspect your remote is faulty or you have misplaced it, you can use a USB keyboard to control the screen. Simply connect it to the media player and press Shift + 2 on a US standard keyboard or whatever the @ equivalent key combination is.
