If your screen is offline follow these troubleshooting tips.

Network Requirements

WiFi not working

  • If your player has disconnected from your WiFi network, use the @ button on the remote control to see if the Mandoe software responds. If it does, confirm that the media player software is connected to the Internet using option 3: choose network connection.

  • Select your network using the remote, and enter the password.

  • If the player does not detect your WIFI network, confirm your WIFI network is broadcasting its SSID (the WIFI network ID/name).

  • If your WiFi password is not accepted, test if your WIFI password is correct by connecting to your WIFI network with your phone.

  • If your phone connects to WIFI with that password, and the WIFI connection on the media player still does not work, this may be resolved by manually setting the date and time on your player so it can make a secure connection with the WIFI network.

  • If that fails, your network may be blocking the connection. Check your network meets the requirements. The player needs to connect to the Internet through TCP on port 443 over HTTPS.

Ethernet not working

  • Confirm the ethernet cable is connected to a router/modem that is providing Internet access.

  • Try a different ethernet cable. If a different cable does not work, turn off the media player using the remote control, physically unplug the power from the media player and then plug it back in.

  • If that doesn't work, then your network may be blocking the connection (see Network Requirements).

  • If your network requirements are met, use the cog button on the media player remote (between the two volume controls), then on the Android Settings screen select Network & Internet from the main menu, and then confirm if it says ‘connected’ and whether there’s an IPV4 address (a number like 123.456.789.123).

  • If it says connected, then turn your media player off using the power button on the remote control, once the media player is off, disconnect the power cable, reconnect the power cable, and turn the media player back on.

  • If this doesn’t work, and the media player is using a Mandoe router, turn the Mandoe router off then turn it back on, and wait for the router to connect back to the Internet.

The connection between the media player and the screen is not working

  • If the screen is blank check the power to the screen.

  • If the screen displays an image, and the media player is turned on, try a different HDMI cable.
